Large Chinese Famille Rose bowl with flowers

This large Chinese export porcelain bowl is decorated in a large selection of colored enamels. Depicted is a blossoming branch and a large peony flower in rose. Hence, this bowl can be referred to as Famille Rose. In addition, to the main decoration, also some attractive smaller flowers are present on the outside of this bowl. Furthermore, the interior is decorated with a small simple flower as well as an ornamental band along the rim. The decoration is typical for the Famille Rose wares from the middle of the 18th century. The diameter of the bowl is 5.75 inches (almost 15 cm) and the height is 2.75 inches (7 cm).

Excellent, with some fritting as well as a 0.3-inch flake chip to the interior rim. In addition, there is some usual wear to the enameled highlights.
